Visiting Minorca is always worthwhile. Each season has its plus points, and each moment has its special charm. Over recent years we have seen how the month of September has become a favourite for those who prefer to enjoy Minorca with a certain air of calm.
Our classic Minorcan experience—spending the day at an organic vegetable garden with sea views and access to a secret beach—has had an update.

In our last post, we talked about the possibility of organizing an event in our Country Club, an idyllic place in the middle of a Mediterranean pine forest. But what if the plan becomes more intimate? At Faustino Gran we are to celebrate love every day of the year, and not just on a specific date in February. That is why we give you three ideas to enjoy a romantic moment with your partner during your visit to Menorca.

On the road that leads to the beaches of Algaiarens, north of Ciudadela, Faustino Gran hides one of the most beautiful places on the island: a peaceful retreat in the middle of a pine forest where you can rest, relax and breathe the Mediterranean essence.
Our Casa de Pau, which you can reach with the excursion service in our 4x4 cars, is made up of a swimming pool and solarium area, a food service area, and an orchard our own, where we grow the seasonal products that arrive on your plates. For this reason, spending a day at the Casa de Pau is spending a day totally away from the city, in absolute harmony with nature and without giving up any of the luxuries that you would have in our palaces. In addition, you have the possibility of reaching the sea, in a short walk of about 20 minutes, and enjoy a swim in one of the least traveled corners of the island. In fact, the old pier of the cove is very close to the Camí de Cavalls, one of the natural routes that you must visit in Menorca.
That is why it is one of the locations that we like to offer to organize events that require a relaxed, joyful atmosphere in direct connection with the earth. From weddings with a rustic and elegant touch, to a meal for a group of friends in which vegetarian dishes made with top quality products, collected directly from the garden located next to the pool, prevail.

At Faustino Gran we have long valued the flavor of the island. That is why we put all the love and taste in the gastronomic part of our project. Either through the dishes of the Can Faustino restaurant, the breakfasts in the garden or the evenings tasting the vegetarian proposals at the Country Club, made with produce from our own garden.
What for us is a fundamental pillar of the Menorcan experience, next year will be a milestone in the island's history. Menorca has been declared European Gastronomic Region 2022, a title that recognizes Menorcan cuisine as a unique asset, with an evident influence on the environment, well-being and health. The foundations of Mediterranean cuisine are mixed with culinary tradition, but also with a new way of preparing, presenting and rediscovering unique flavors, which have been preserved thanks to the inheritance that survives generations.
From Faustino Gran we join this declaration of a European Gastronomic Region, offering balanced dishes, cooked with care and fresh, local products.
We say goodbye to the 2021 season very grateful for the trust that our clients have placed in us once again.
